Individual Counselling

A difficult life situation, inability to find a solution, or just a dilemma in a relationship, is reason enough to drop by and meet the counsellor at SITTARA.  If you are feeling unsatisfied with your life's current situation or direction, we can work together to determine the best course of action.

Enjoyment or happiness in life is in having a worthwhile choice and sharing it with near and dear ones. Individual counselling situations help as sessions to bring in the required change by either looking inwards or by changing the attitude or behaviour that has a negative spiral. It would be the support system to regain self control and plan interventions that are designed to help you solve problems.  Initially you become aware of yourself, your behaviour, thoughts and beliefs and can assess if it is effective in approaching your life goals.

Counselling is a collaborative process. The interchange makes you effective in dealing with personal issues such as anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, parenting problems, school difficulties or career changes. 

Individual psychotherapy sessions typically last between 45 and 50 minutes. The frequency and duration of therapy will depend largely on your needs, treatment goals, and progress. Many concerns are readily resolved with short-term therapy, and other chronic or more complex concerns require long-term commitment before improvement is realized.
